Confido Health Raises $12.5M to Build the Agentic Layer for Healthcare

New York, USA | October 14, 2026

US healthcare has digitised patient records, appointments and payments. But the work connecting them still depends on people navigating disconnected systems, chasing follow-ups and coordinating tasks across teams, an effort that costs over $1TN a year. Confido Health builds AI agents to solve for this, and the company now enables 1 in 50 Americans to access their health care.

The company today announced a $12.5 million Series A extension led by Z47, bringing the total Series A funding to $22.5 million. Healthcare private equity veteran Justin Saks joins as an investor and board advisor, with existing investors Together Fund and Blume Ventures also participating.

Confido Health was founded by Chetan Reddy and Vichar Shroff, who have been building companies together for a decade. Before building the product, the two spent months shadowing front-desk staff and schedulers at US practices. They found that teams already had plenty of software but were stretched thin by administrative follow-up, and that follow-up is the work Confido Health’s AI agents are built to take on.

  • 50+ integrations with existing healthcare systems

From voice AI to an agentic healthcare platform

Confido Health started with voice AI, automating patient calls for healthcare practices. But a call is rarely the end of the job. It can trigger a referral, an appointment, an insurance verification, a prescription refill or a payment follow-up. Historically, each step has required staff to move between systems and ensure the work gets done.
‍

As Confido Health expanded its AI agents across dozens of workflows and specialties, the opportunity grew beyond voice. CareOS is evolving into an integrated agentic layer for healthcare operations: AI agents that carry context across existing systems and execute work across the administrative lifecycle of a practice.
‍

The shift is from software that records what happens to systems that can act on that information. Rather than automating isolated interactions, CareOS connects the workflows that keep practices running.
‍‍

“Every healthcare platform we work with shares the same story and challenges. They've got endless amounts of data, but inconsistent systems to manage it holistically, which leaves them short-staffed and drowning in follow-up,” said Chetan Reddy, co-founder and CEO, Confido Health. “Systems of record were never going to fix that because information sitting in a database doesn't call a patient back or collect a payment. That's why we built CareOS. It does the work itself, not just the paperwork behind it. That's what it means to move from systems of record to systems of action, and it's what this round is helping us do at a much larger scale.”

Changing the economics of an AI healthcare operations

For healthcare providers, administrative capacity is directly tied to growth. Staffing constraints, rising labour costs and fragmented workflows limit how many patients a practice can serve and how effectively it can use its clinicians' time.
‍

Confido Health's agents automate work spanning phone calls, texts, email, faxes, appointments, insurance verification, prior authorisations, prescription refills, payments and more. The platform has achieved AI handle rates above 95% across critical end-to-end office use cases, adding the equivalent of three to five full-time employees in operational capacity on average within three months of deployment.
‍

Confido Health estimates that medical and dental groups can add four to six FTEs of capacity every three months, where one FTE (full-time equivalent) is the workload of one full-time staff member. Patient satisfaction averages 4.55 out of 5 across approximately one million tasks. The impact extends beyond administrative efficiency. At Vision Innovation Partners, collections in the payments department have doubled since deploying Confido Health.
‍‍

“We have doubled collections in our payments department since deploying Confido,” said Michael Pascetta, Chief Financial Officer at Vision Innovation Partners. “We're following up on patient balances even more, because the tool now makes outbound calls too. For me, that's been a huge, huge win.”

Confido Health is built to scale across healthcare networks

Confido Health's initial focus is on multi-site healthcare groups, particularly those backed by private equity. These organisations must standardise operations across locations, manage specialty-specific requirements and improve patient access without replicating administrative overhead every time they expand.
‍

Its distribution model is built around this structure: working with private equity investors first, then expanding into their portfolio companies through warm introductions as deployments demonstrate results. This model has helped drive 15x growth since the company's last funding round.
‍

CareOS integrates with more than 50 existing systems, including electronic health records, practice management, telephony and billing platforms, without requiring providers to replace their existing technology stack. Its agents also draw on specialty-specific operational knowledge across ophthalmology and optometry, physical therapy, dental, and primary and community care.
‍

“After 14 years investing in multi-site healthcare, I've never seen anything quite like the growth potential embedded in Confido's PE flywheel or the pace of its momentum and scale,” said Justin Saks, Investor and Board Advisor at Confido Health. “With a proven agentic operating layer clearing the obstacles hindering provider growth and access to an endless pipeline of customers, Confido has built a bulletproof distribution model that also solves one of the industry's biggest pain points.”

The opportunity is particularly significant as healthcare providers face rising operating costs, reimbursement pressure and persistent staffing constraints. For multi-site groups, the ability to increase operational capacity without proportionately increasing headcount can have a direct impact on margins and growth.‍

‍
“Healthcare administration is a trillion-dollar cost center, and for decades the only way to manage it was to hire more people,
” said Vikram Vaidyanathan, Partner & Senior Managing Director, Z47. “Confido is building AI staffing for healthcare. Every provider runs on a different patchwork of systems, and Confido's platform CareOS along with forward-deployed engineers make deployment seamless, so its virtual employees become an integral part of the workforce. Confido understands a clinic's operations as well as the people running it. We're excited to lead their Series A and back their vision of a hybrid healthcare workforce in the US.”‍

‍

The new funding will support the expansion of CareOS across multi-site healthcare organisations and the continued development of AI agents across healthcare workflows and specialties.
